Your words are important. Often more important than you realise. Humans developed speech to help us communicate more clearly. We developed languages, bringing order to the sounds and common meaning to the words, to help us convey our thoughts quickly and accurately.

Too often we wield this tool without care, slamming our words against each other or making long-winded phrases that slither around the point, never quite reaching their target. Or we spurt emotional outbursts, oblivious to the effect they’re having, often causing more harm than good.

Take time with your words. Think about them before you release them upon the world. Understand what you want to achieve, what point you want to get across, what benefit your utterances will be to the world.

Once spoken, they’re out in the wild. There’s no Ctrl+Z.
