Connecting the dots…

That’s not agile

You’re not agile if you call your hour-long morning meetings stand-ups.

You’re not agile if you call your requirements document a ‘backlog’.

You’re not agile if your team sits next to each other but never talk.

You’re not agile if ‘active business collaboration’ means a stakeholder parachuting in once a week and telling the team what to do before heading out for an important ‘lunch’.

You’re not agile if your definition of ‘done’ means the devs have finished coding. Neither if the testers have finished testing.

You’re not agile if you cancel your retrospective because you’re under pressure and haven’t got time.
You’re agile when you understand why these things aren’t agile.
