There are some days that are easier than others. Days when you can’t seem to get it right, whatever “it” is. Frustration sets in. Anger even.
“I didn’t have a problem with this yesterday!”
”This is supposed to be easy!”
Even the calm, composed, rational thinking that you pride yourself on goes out the window. You find yourself judging people on face value, not giving them the respect they deserve. You fall back into destructive patterns you’ve had since childhood
It’s when the frustration reaches its peak that the realisation sets in. You can rant, throw your toys, scream and bang things, but that doesn’t really lead you anywhere, other than feeling stupid after the tirade. But if you step back, observe yourself, your emotions, your default responses, you’ll learn something about yourself. You’ll learn that you have the capacity to change and to overcome.
You prove who you are in the face of challenges.
